A new victory for Léonia at the Cosmébio Trophies
The 2022-2023 Cosmébio Awards Ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 22, in an exceptional location near Valence, also marking the 20th anniversary of the Cosmébio association. This annual event recognizes the best players in organic cosmetics for their ethical commitments, the quality of their products, and their innovations.
What are the Cosmébio Trophies?
Founded in 2002, the Cosmébio association oversees and regulates the organic cosmetics industry through a charter of values and strict specifications. It serves as a veritable benchmark for consumers seeking healthy, environmentally friendly products. Today, it has 556 member brands and continues to establish itself as a benchmark in the sector, countering the rise of conventional cosmetics.
This year again, out of the 556 brands that are members of Cosmébio, 24 were selected to win the title of winner. Several products competed in four different categories : “Start-Ups,” “ Contribution to the Ecological Transition,” “Sustainable Innovation,” and “Support and Development of Sustainable Sectors.”
Thus, 160 judges evaluated the products. Carefully selected by Cosmébio, this sample of testers is composed of professionals in the organic cosmetics industry (distributors, buyers, and journalists), specialized influencers, and regular consumers of organic cosmetics. The evaluation was carried out through an online questionnaire, after using the products over time. It asks the panel about their perception of the product and its packaging, its use, and its effectiveness.
The winner of the 2022-2023 Trophies
The Milky White Tea Exfoliating & Moisturizing Scrub was voted Best Organic Cosmetic 2022-2023 in the “Young Shoots” category. This new award comes in addition to the two Cosmébio trophies won last year for the face cream and the radiance-boosting serum. Léonia thus becomes a Triple Winner of the Cosmébio Trophies, a first in the association's history!
The Milky White Tea Scrub won over the jury with both its sensorial appeal and its effectiveness.
The judges spoke of the product's femininity, elegance, well-being, and indulgence. Its elegance, color, and composition are highly appreciated. When using the scrub, the judges were impressed by its effectiveness, innovative texture, and White Tea Peach fragrance, which are real assets.
